After we completed the Master Suite renovation, the next pressing need was the 3rd floor space. We needed space for kids to come and stay. So we tackled the 3rd floor bedroom, closet and bathroom. These are at the top of a spiral staircase on the main floor.

Originally the space was designed with a landing that had a bifold door closet. The bathroom and bedroom had separate doors attached to this landing. We decided to shrink the landing a bit and enclose everything in a suite. Now there is a sitting area at the top of the stairs and one door leading into a suite which includes a large bedroom, closet and bathroom. There is a sliding glass door leading out to a nice balcony that overlooks the back yard and the deck.

The first step was to alter the walls, move doors etc. We then removed the popcorn ceiling, repaired the walls including patching the hole the old AC window unit occupied. (We had previously added a ductless HVAC unit)
